Transferring your funds
Have your money waiting for you in your Westpac bank account when you arrive in Australia. Once you’ve applied for a Westpac bank account and you’ve received your new account details, you can deposit funds into your new Westpac Choice account.
You will only be able to deposit funds into your account until you have completed your identity check. As soon as you have completed your identity check with us (whether overseas or in Australia), you will have an operational account.
To complete an international funds transfer into your Australian bank account, your overseas bank will require the information below:
- Bank name: Westpac Banking Corporation.
- Branch name: We will supply this to you once your account is opened.
- Account Name: Your full name (as it appears on your passport).
- Account Number: We will supply this to you once your account is opened.
- BSB (Bank/State/Branch) code: We will supply this to you once your account is opened.
- SWIFT code: WPACAU2S.
Note: Conditions, fees, charges and foreign currency exchange rates apply. You will need to check with your bank, financial institution or exchange dealer before your transfer.
